Cystic fibrosis related diabetes (CFRD) is the commonest co-morbidity in CF leading to increased mortality rates. The pathophysiology includes pancreatic fibrosis, reduction in α and ß-cell mass, delayed insulin secretion and variable insulin insensitivity.
